Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Social Science Teacher with at least 1 year of teaching experience, a B.Sc./M.Sc. in a relevant field, and a B.Ed. qualification. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in History, Geography, Civics, and related subjects to students in middle or high school.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver well-structured Social Science lessons aligned with the curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.
Use interactive methods to develop students' understanding of historical, geographical, political, and economic concepts.
Evaluate student progress through tests, projects, and assignments.
Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and parent-teacher interactions.
Integrate technology and digital resources into teaching when appropriate.
Requirements:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Social Sciences, Geography, History, or related field
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – mandatory
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in a school setting
Good communication skills and fluency in English
Classroom management and student engagement skills
Familiarity with school curricula and exam patterns
