Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Journal Publisher to manage the publication and growth of academic or scientific journals. The ideal candidate will oversee editorial workflows, peer review processes, author relations, and journal performance, ensuring high-quality and timely publication in accordance with academic and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the overall publication process of academic journals, including submission, peer review, editing, and final publication
Collaborate with editors, reviewers, and authors to ensure quality content and smooth communication
Develop and implement publishing strategies to increase journal visibility, impact factor, and readership
Ensure compliance with publication ethics (COPE, ICMJE, etc.) and open access policies
Monitor and analyze journal performance metrics such as submission rates, acceptance rates, and citation data
Coordinate with production teams for formatting, layout, and timely release of issues
Support indexing and abstracting efforts
Work on marketing initiatives and outreach to attract high-quality submissions and expand readership
Maintain and update journal websites and online submission platforms
Requirements:
BE/ME
1+ years of experience in academic publishing, editorial, or journal management
Familiarity with peer review systems, publication ethics, and indexing requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple journals/projects with excellent attention to detail
